It’s still not a news channel (not to mention that these news are 2 weeks old...), but Im pretty excited about this one: Atomic Mass Games (after taking it over from FFG) announced a new faction to Star Wars Legion!
The prayers have been heard (mine too), and galactic scum will be available in the game: Shadow Collective! It may not be a complete faction, just a sub-faction, and not exactly as I imagined before, but these are still really good news! There will be Pyke Syndicate soldiers, Mandalorian Death Watch, Falleen fighters from the Black Sun:
And of course some characters, for example Darth Maul (that photshopped glow effect is a little lame...):
As said, this is all great but… Let me be a bit unsatisfied: the Shadow Collective was formed by (among others) Darth Maul in the Clone Wars animation series, and so it’s more connected to the Clone Wars era. But why not a bit more general, or I may say, classical (yes, Im old enough to love the original trilogy at most) criminal troops, like weequay pirates, gamorrean guards or tusken raiders?
Or the rest of the infamous headhunter pack: Dengar, IG-88, Zuckuss and 4-LOM?
I really hope, that AMG won’t stop here, and will continue to publish new sets for this faction! And if that happens, I my start my own army…
